Green juice on vacation just hits different 😜 & truly, my biggest wellness hack of all time is a green juice a day. Especially while I’m pregnant and not loving all my usual veggies, a daily green juice is key. Key to glowing skin, good digestion, reduced inflammation, the best hydration, & such a boost of vitamins and minerals. My body craves it if I miss a few days!! Pregnancy & healthy eating ✨ let’s talk about it. One of the main questions I get daily in this pregnancy is, “are you still plant based?” & the answer is… YES, of course! I found this nourishing and beautiful way of life years ago and now that I am growing a little human inside of me, the answer is an even bigger yes than ever before. It’s such a myth that when we are pregnant we must start eating for two - what’s recommended & healthy is around 300 extra calories a day. I don’t count calories but I know I’m eating plenty more than pre-pregnancy (but not “eating for two”), and also being super mindful of what I put into my body. Eating plant-based during this pregnancy has allowed me to feel amazing and feel like I’m still in there, I’m still me, even though I am growing another little human. It’s been both intuitive & a no brainer for me- and whether you are vegan or not, eating a healthy & nourishing diet during pregnancy is amazing for both mama and baby. What I will say is that I’ve tried lots of foods I wouldn’t normally eat bc my intuition has guided me toward them- a lot more bagels, bread, pasta, etc. for one. Carbs are my BFF right now. So yes I have those cravings but they have been very satisfied in a balanced, plant-based way. Curious other mamas journeys with food & eating during pregnancy?!
